UX AND VFX

I Love motion and have done since I was a little boy, So I've always had my head in motion graphics or VFX. But Interactions are much more exciting to me, i think of them like an interactive story where any interaction changes the outcome for the user. Most of my roles have been either UX or UI (sometimes both), but I always think about the interaction when I'm designing. I think that's where the real design challenges is how to get the user through the UX story without frustrating or confusing a user and without overloading (cognitive load) them with information.

inspiration grid

Before i start any project i like to create a moodboard or inspiration grid, i do this for two reasons. first helps me get inspired and motivated to design somthing and scornd and the most impartent it helps the client give me direction. Most of my clients dont have a preconsuped idea so this helps brake down that barrier and idenify the mood and idea of the shot.

STORYBOADS

The basic of an UX, VFX or Design for that matter, Its importent to flesh out the story and set the narrative. Believe it or not i do this with all my work not just Motion or VFX's, UX too. for me it set the fondations of what i'm store/flow i'm trying to tell the user

HUD'S

A head-up display or heads-up display, also known as a HUD, is any transparent display that presents data without requiring users to look away from their usual viewpoints.

ROTO AND KEYING

Your probably asking why would i be Rotoing or keying right, well for me its much easier for me to play and feel the effect to see if it will work. it give me the flexablitly to adapted the shot on the fly. Also there is nothing more statsfiling then pulling of a kickass roto or key a scean.
